about

Baha'u'llah came like a 'thief in the night', and many around the world are filling their hearts with His teachings.

The first verse begins from the perspective of Mullá Husayn arriving to Shiraz, meeting, and eventually be the first to recognize The Bab as the "Herald of the Faith".

The second verse takes the perspective as one of those in the presence of Baha'u'llah during His time in the Síyáh-Chál. Here he had a vision revealing that He in fact was "The Promised One of All Ages".

The final verse speaks to our time now and how thanks to the immense sacrifice of those who are no longer with us, we have access to Baha'u'llah's Writings which are filled with incredible teachings and truly can bring about nothing less than the complete transformation of the world of humanity as we know it.

The soundscape at the end of this song symbolizes the journey that we must all now take to accept Baha'u'llah in our hearts and take the necessary steps to spread His Message throughout the world.

Verse 1:

It was about time that we arrived in
At the gates of Shiraz just to find Him
I told my people in Allah we confide in
And God willing let's reconnect after I've been
For my evening prayers, I breathed in air
I opened up my eyes and He was there
He had a green turban, and he seemed to be fervent
How could I know it was for Him that we leaved searchin
I was overwhelmed by extreme kindness
His dignity and self-assured silence
When He invited me in for tea
and said: "Behold, all these signs are manifest in Me'

CHORUS:
Thief in the night
hearts he will find

Verse 2:

We stood in rows of two
We breathed infested air but were the chosen few
Chained up but felt free like the ocean blue
And in that blackest pit it was a rose that grew
Our fate was set to be made to rest
But we were gracefully blessed as we tasted death
Because the maiden said, "this is the beauty of God amongst you".

CHORUS

Verse 3:

The martyrs never hesitated and were never agitated
We can't recant this faith, I guess you have to take us
I guess it's time to redesign how we are educated
When we find Divine our souls become emancipated
So many paths leading hearts to lives - mostly jaded
Then this glowing maiden spoke when He was overtaken
By despair but then He rose to become more sacred
He wasn't preaching He was leading us to golden ages
Every secret, every truth is in his holy pages...
Nobility is yours, you were born to take it
Baha'u'llah speaks, and every soul is getting invitations
If you hear His words I hope you rise to the occasion
And spread truth, love, peace and unity to every nation
