about

Many times in His Writings, Baha'u'llah speaks to the fact that our hearts actually belong to Him. Here is one example from the hidden words:

"O SON OF EARTH! Wouldst thou have Me, seek none other than Me; and wouldst thou gaze upon My beauty, close thine eyes to the world and all that is therein; for My will and the will of another than Me, even as fire and water, cannot dwell together in one heart."

This song is aims to share the exciting feeling of working to cleanse our hearts for God while also sharing in the verse how this can indeed be a daily struggle and we are imperfect. One great conversation starter is to simply ask this question: "How do we cleanse our hearts?"

lyrics

Verse: Bm, C#m7b5
Chorus: Bm, C#m7b5, F#7

CHORUS:
Unlock the city of my heart
Break free from the pain that's tearing me apart
One more chance to be who I am
Take me back to the flame where it all began
Open up my eyes and let the Light shine
Open up my mind this is the right time

El fuego de tu amor
A encontrado mi corazon

VERSE 1:

I’m just a speck of dust or a broken piece
I’m like one single note of the Fur Elise
“The ‘Master Key’ to self-mastery is self-forgetting”
So let myself release
I’m lookin’ in the mirror and I hope I never see
The man I used to be because im stranded in the sea
Of my own memories i'm like a flawed melody
So I’m opening my heart and letting God envelop me
Because I cried and then I cried when I was gliding in His reach
Divided by the lies that I was hiding in my speech
And I was cold inside trying to close my open eyes
But then I wrote the hope alive
When I vocalized my desire to be free
Chill in hell fire and dry in the sea

CHORUS

Verse 2:

“O FRIEND! In the garden of thy heart
plant naught but the rose of love,
and from the nightingale
of affection and desire
loosen not thy hold.”
CHORUS
